Greetings and Welcome to Our New Web Site

Dear family, friends and supporters:

More than a year has passed since the death of our son, Chris. Since that tragic time, we have striven to honor our son's memory through the formation of The Chris Nedelcovych Scholarship Fund for Youth Soccer Coaches (CNSF). CNSF is a not-for-profit entity whose tax-deductible status as a 501(c) (3) charitable organization was recently approved. With inspiration from Chris, and with your moral and financial support, we have come a long way in our first year.

Our first activity was to organize a camp - the CNSF Camp - based upon the principle of "Youth Coaching Youth." When we went to the Directors of the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association with our idea, we were met with overwhelming support. Thanks to the support of the MSYSA, we were able to organize our first CNSF Camp much sooner than we ever expected. We are very grateful to the MSYSA and to all of you for helping us make a dream come true, and in the process, provide a positive way for young people to channel their energy, interests, and talents.

It is with great pride and appreciation, therefore, that we invite you to explore our new website and learn about our unique camp and meet the first group of CNSF Camp alumni! On our website, you will meet the fourteen, fine, young men and women, who were chosen to receive the 2002 CNSF Scholarship Awards to attend our camp, along with the Dutch trainer, Gert Veldwijk, and our Program Director, Larry Paul.

We have one request: please send us your e-mail addresses as soon as possible to info@cnsfund.org so we can keep you informed of the many activities we will be undertaking in the future. We are planning to spread the principle of "Youth Coaching Youth" as far and as wide as possible. In fact, we have just finalized plans for a new CNSF Camp in Louisiana for next summer, in adition to our Maryland camp and are organizing joint activities with DC United, the IMG Soccer Academies and the Dutch KNVB!

In the words of Chris Nedelcovych, "having seen first hand the awesome potential to make a difference has allowed (us) to look into the future with hope and a sense of inspiration."Our family, with the spirit of our son, Chris, extends to all of you our heartfelt thanks and good wishes.

Sincerely,

Sally, Mima and Michael Nedelcovych
